The first single release and music video from Talia Arose and Isaac Lane, released on the 28th of September. The EP coming out in December is an ode to a lifestyle of faith, hope and promises in dreams whilst living in both native and foreign lands. Impacted greatly by their creative chemistry they got to work over the last 2 years with creating some fresh sounds that would combine jazz, electro and soul with a psalmic twist. Their focus on the poetry of words that create images and empowering messages is shown in this first single.
‘Undress me to life’ was a line that suddenly came out when I was writing about being passionately in love and feeling so free in that romance that didn’t necessarily come from being in a couple. For me this song is about my journey in faith and leaving behind a lot of misconceptions and even negativity I had about love. ‘I am seeking to see and not to pretend’ highlights this desire I had to sing about seeing truth in love. I describe our songs as having a 'Gospel twist’ because of the words I have been inspired to write.’ -Talia
Teaming up with Nico Slomowicz (director), Djamila (model) and Eunah Bang (fashion designer) made the perfect combination for this fashion film music video. The bright colors and exquisite Parisian backdrop along with Djamila’s strong but fragile character portrayal enhance the illustration of tension between empowerment and weakness, boldness and vulnerability.
