HOW MODEL ADUT AKECH SPENDS A DAY IN DUBAI
South Sudanese-Australian model Adut Akech invites us to join her on a day of sightseeing in Dubai.
Taking a well-earned break between assignments, the model immerses herself in the culture and colours of the historic city, indulging in sweet local delicacies as she reflects on her meteoric rise in the fashion world. Akech recounts her model beginnings and reminisces about her career highlights, such as being asked by Karl Lagerfeld to be his Chanel 'bride', making history as only the second Black woman, after fellow Sudanese-British model Alek Wek, to close the label’s couture show. As her dreamy day draws to a close, there's just enough time for a sunset boat tour before ending with a candlelit dinner.
